The latest update in the Pooh Shiesty case is not good news for the Back in Blood rapper. Shiesty’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, recently revealed that he is withdrawing from the case.
Pooh Shiesty’s Lawyer Withdraws From Armed Robbery Case
In a post shared by MyMixtapez on Tuesday (April 28), Cohen said that his withdrawal from the case has nothing to do with his confidence that he can win. And he gave a vote of confidence to the two attorneys who will be substituting for him. He also added that he feels that the government has a lot of “explaining” to do related to Shiesty’s arrest.
“I will be withdrawing from the case. No implications from my withdrawing from the case. I still think he has a great case. Think there are a lot of holes in it,” he said in the video. “I think the government has a lot of explaining to do on the case. Substituting will be Dan Kogel, who is a fantastic lawyer, and Ken Schaffer, who is also a fantastic lawyer, both from Dallas. And I think they are going to do a phenomenal job on the case.
He also added:
“I think it’s one of those cases where once you start really screwing down on the information and the facts, I think a lot is going to be coming out that is going to be beneficial to the defense. I think they’re going to do a great job. And I look forward to seeing how it winds up.”

To bring things up to speed, Pooh Shiesty was arrested earlier this month. For his alleged role in an armed robbery in Dallas earlier this year. The feds allege that Pooh Shiesty rounded up a group of eight other men to confront Gucci Mane over a contract dispute. However, Gucci Mane believed it to be a meeting between him and Pooh. But instead, he was ambushed and forced to sign paperwork releasing the rapper from his record contract with 1017 Brick Squad.
If convicted, Pooh Shiesty faces life in prison.
