Pooh Shiesty and his legal team are hitting back against the recent claims made by federal prosecutors ahead of his 2026 trial.
According to a recent court filing obtained by XXL, prosecutors accused the Memphis rapper of being involved in an “inappropriate relationship” with at least one of his Volunteers of America (VOA) case supervisors.
Pooh Shiesty’s Lawyer Hits Back Against Feds’ Recent Claims
However, in a statement to XXL, the rapper’s attorney, Kent Schaffer, said that those claims are nothing more than a “distraction.”
“We do not believe that there was anything inappropriate about our client’s relationship with any of the house arrest supervisors. That is not what he is on trial for and is simply a distraction,” he said to the outlet.
In the court filing, prosecutors claimed that the alleged relationship with the case supervisor played a pivotal role in Shiesty receiving several days’ passes, which approved him to go to an unauthorized location. When he was supposed to be on house arrest.
They also said that those same day passes extended to the day when Shiesty and his cohorts allegedly kidnapped and robbed Gucci Mane at gunpoint. The supervisor also allegedly contacted the rap star 19 times that day. And was later terminated because of the alleged misconduct.
To bring things up to speed, the feds believe that the rap star led several men on an excursion from Memphis to Dallas to confront Gucci Mane. Shiesty led Gucci to believe that they were having a one-on-one meeting at his studio in Dallas. To amicably resolve a contract dispute and release him from his record deal with 1017 Brick Squad. But when Gucci declined, the other men blitzed him. And coerced the rapper to sign the documentation, releasing him from his deal.
