Turk, a key member of the iconic Hot Boys, has heard fans chatter and is now addressing rumors. On the BHighTV show, Turk cleared up the reason he’s doing rap performances in Lowe’s parking lots.
What Did Turk Say?
Speaking to B High, Turk explained that the performances are actually for altruistic purposes.
“Since I went and got my job in construction, fans have been asking about music,” Turk said. “I’ve been streaming and providing content to show what it’s like. But I can’t forget the fans who love the music. So, I said, ‘you know what? What if I start me a tour?’ And I went on and put a tour together, but my first stop was Lowe’s, I just went out there and just did it. I’m humble. I got God in me. I say, ‘Man, I’m about to do what’s real.’ Stood out there, man. Dude passed in the Jeep like, ‘Man, that’s Hot Boy Turk.’ Then my wife said, ‘You want to buy a CD?’ So what’s wrong with me working providing for my family and providing a good time the nostalgia to my fans in a humble way where they can touch me where they could get come up and get an autograph and they could take a picture and bro it never been done like that before. I think I’m starting something new.
Turk says he wants to bring this impromptu fan first tour to other stores. He’s planning to go to flea markets, Home Depot, gas stations, and other places where the regular people at.
Turk says Walmart security gave him trouble though and he’s putting everything on the line for his fans.
What Else Did He Say In The Interview?
Turk also wanted to make it clear there’s nothing wrong with hustling ethically.
“I’m just trying to provide for my family,” Turk said. Make sure the fans are happy. I’m in a good good place, man. I got peace. And nothing transcends your peace. I been through so much in my life, man. Overcoming heroin and cocaine, dealing with this, dealing with that. And I finally got in a place where I can do things and still be able to take care of my family, which is way more important than not being able to do that. Cuz there’s a lot of people out there that can’t do that. But I want the people to know, you can work a real job. I did DoorDash and everything. You can work a real job and hold your head up, create content because streaming is a thing. I also got a situation with Kick coming. Streaming is the new thing that’s going on and it’s paying a lot of money, bro. So, I know a lot of people want to rap and do things like that. Stream the process. Show people your real life cuz there’s more people like you than you might know it.”
Turk will perform at a FIFA World Cup watch party this Saturday, with B High in attendance.
