Earlier this month, Zeus Network CEO Lemuel Plummer found himself in hot water. According to court documents obtained by the New York Post on Thursday (July 2), Plummer is being sued by a woman named Jadynn Brown. Who appeared on the first season of one of the network’s shows, Baddies Gone Wild? Brown is accusing the CEO of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and wrongful termination.
Plummer ‘Categorically’ Denies The Allegations Against Him
Amid the filing, the Zeus Network CEO broke his silence. Plummer took to social media over the holiday weekend and “categorically denied” all of the allegations made by Brown.
“I categorically deny the allegations against me, I also have additional contemporaneous communications and evidence that, in my view, provide important context to the full timeline and will speak for themselves when the appropriate time comes,” he wrote in a social media post on Friday (July 3). “I intend to vigorously defend my reputation. And pursue any legal remedies that my attorneys determine are appropriate. Including claims for defamation if supported by the facts and the law.”
In court docs obtained by the outlet, Brown says that she was coerced into having sex with Plummer. Starting in March 2023. She claims that he told her that he would hire her for Zeus’ hit show, Baddies, after they had sex. And she obliged.
However, in his statement, Plummer said that there was “no conversation” between him and Brown about her being hired. Instead, he claims that Jadynn “began repeatedly expressing interest in joining the network,” and he responded by telling her that she had to “audition” like everybody else.
“I also made it clear that I wanted to keep friendship and business separate because the repeated conversations about being cast were becoming a turnoff. Friendship never guaranteed employment, and employment was never a condition of friendship,” the statement adds.
At the time of writing, Brown has not responded to Plummer’s comments.
