According to TMZ Santana was arrested at 1 AM Monday by Port Authority Newark Airport police and booked for unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was also booked on an unspecified federal warrant.
Juelz Santana was accused of fleeing the scene of a security screening after Transportation Security Administration agents discovered a gun in his bag at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, on Friday evening (March 9).
Santana was attempting to catching a flight when his bag was flagged during a screening at Terminal C, reports NBC New York.
When the gun was located, the “There It Go” rapper reportedly ran from the airport and may have jumped into a cab before he could be detained. He left his belongings and the firearm behind.
