From gospel to G-funk, Hollywood to the Holy Ghost, Snoop Dogg’s immensurate motor continues to steer him into the top of the media world.

After blessing the block with Altar Call, the latest take in his Bible Of Love series and a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Beverly Tate, Tha Doggfather is pivoting from the pulpit to the people with his latest offering.

Snoop announced his forthcoming album Iz It a Crime? on Tuesday (May 13) in an interview with Access Hollywood’s Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover. The project features an impressive lineup, including Sexyy Redd, Wiz Khalifa, West Coast production legends Battlecat and Rick Rock, and a long-awaited reunion with his platinum-selling collaborator Pharrell Williams.

Snoop Releasing Short Film Alongside New Project

The Death Row CEO said his 21st album was titled after being questioned about some of the things “that he has done” in his career.

“And I just want to ask the question, ‘Is it a crime? Is it a crime for me to do the things that I do? Is it a crime for me to take care of people, to love people, to be there for people? Is it a crime for me to be me?’”

With Snoop, the music is always the message — but the message now comes with visuals. Iz It a Crime? will also arrive with an accompanying film chronicling his career, the controversies, and the contributions that made him a cultural mainstay from Long Beach to London.

Death Row Branches Out with NBCUniversal Deal

The Dogg is clearly not here to rest. Since taking over Death Row Records in 2022, he’s flipped the legacy label into a multimedia empire. That includes the launch of Death Row Pictures and a biopic on the horizon, helmed by Menace II Society director Allen Hughes and backed by his new creative alliance with NBCUniversal

Oh, and he’s hosting a two-hour New Year’s Eve music special on NBC, too. Because of course he is.
