Harlem legend Cam’ron is taking legal action against J. Cole, accusing the Dreamville boss of breaching a creative agreement tied to their 2024 collab “Ready ’24.”
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Killa Cam says he contributed lyrics and recorded a verse for the track with the understanding that Cole would return the favor — either by collaborating on a future project or appearing on Cam’s hit sports talk show It Is What It Is.
But Cam’ron claims that two years after the 2022 recording session, Cole never followed through on either promise. From mid-2023 to spring 2024, Cam says he repeatedly reached out to Cole, only to be told the rapper was “unavailable” to hop on the podcast. And as for the promised music collab? That never happened either.
Now, the Dipset icon says he’s been left uncompensated for his work and wants official credit as co-author of “Ready ’24.” He’s also asking the court to order a full accounting of the song’s earnings — which he estimates exceed $500,000 — so he can secure his rightful share.
Neither Cole nor his team have publicly commented on the lawsuit, but one thing’s clear: Cam’ron isn’t letting this one slide quietly.
