Uh-oh! Looks like rap star Lil Wayne has a bone to pick with the Grammy Award committee. At least it seems that way, based on his recent social media activity.
Lil Wayne Throws Shade at Grammys in Social Media Post
Lil Wayne was not involved with the Grammy Awards this year. He didn’t perform, and he wasn’t nominated, and he didn’t even attend the event. In a post to his social media account on Monday (February 2), Lil Wayne saluted all of the winners on the evening. He also sarcastically suggested that he needed to “work harder” to receive the proper recognition.
“Congrats to the nominees and winners. Wasnt included. As usual. I gotta work harder. As usual. One time for my slime Bill Beli,” the rap star wrote on social media on Monday.
Despite the transparency of his message, fans in the comments section did not appear to have much sympathy for the Louisiana native.
“Do you know how delusional you have to be to expect to be nominated after dropping an album like that,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Don’t be crashing out now, you’re bigger than that,” another user added.
“Shut this victim mentality shit up. Who gives af if you weren’t included? Put the weed down,” a third user chimed in.
Congrats to the nominees and winners. Wasnt included. As usual. I gotta work harder. As usual.

One time for my slime Bill Beli
Lil Wayne dropped his 14th studio album, The Carter 6, in June 2025. The project debuted at number two on the Billboard Hot 200 in June 2025. Selling 108,000 equivalent album units in its first week. This was the lowest debut in The Carter series. The project was not submitted for Grammy consideration so it was not nominated for an award in 2026.
