North West is officially stepping into the music industry, securing a record label deal with Gamma, the fast-growing label founded by former Apple Music executive Larry Jackson and record executive Ike Youssef.
The 12-year-old daughter of Ye released her debut official single, “Piercing on My Hand,” on February 6. The track was distributed across digital streaming platforms through Gamma, marking a major milestone in her emerging rap career.
Gamma, launched in 2023, has quickly become home to several high-profile artists, including Snoop Dogg, Sexyy Red, Rick Ross, French Montana, and Mariah Carey. North’s addition to the roster signals the label’s continued expansion and investment in new talent.
Her signing follows reports from Rolling Stone that Ye himself recently inked a deal with Gamma, around the same time he pushed back the release of his highly anticipated album Bully. The move highlights a growing partnership between Ye and the label, now extending to his daughter’s career as well.
North has been building toward this moment over the past few years, previously appearing on multiple tracks with her father. During a Vultures listening event in March 2024, she announced plans to release her own album, tentatively titled Elementary School Dropout—a nod to Ye’s classic debut album The College Dropout.
With her first official release now out and a major label deal secured, North West is positioning herself as one of the youngest artists to make a serious entry into the Hip-Hop landscape.
