Atlanta rapper T.I. says he’s no longer interested in participating in a Verzuz, explaining that any enjoyment he once had for the idea has now been “poisoned.”
The comment comes after T.I.’s recent back-and-forth with 50 Cent, where the two artists went viral debating who would come out on top if they ever faced off in a Verzuz battle.
What initially started as a conversation about music eventually escalated, with tensions rising on social media. The situation reportedly took a more disrespectful turn through posts on 50 Cent’s social media accounts, which led to members of the Harris family responding.
In the aftermath, diss records were released from the Harris family’s side, defending the honor of Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris, T.I.’s wife. The exchange added fuel to an already heated debate between the two camps.
With the situation now escalating beyond friendly competition, T.I. made it clear that the idea of a Verzuz battle no longer appeals to him, suggesting the drama surrounding the conversation has taken away whatever fun the matchup might have had.
