The next Verzuz battle that will take center stage is a stark difference from most of the previous battles that have taken place. This one will be for the ladies. As R&B legends Tank and Tyrese are set to square off in the ultimate artist showcase.
Tank & Tyrese Set to Do Battle in Upcoming Verzuz
On Wednesday (March 18), Verzuz made the announcement on their official social media page. And let’s just say fans are beyond hyped for the upcoming showdown.
“This Verzuz about to have people singing like they’re going through something again,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Tyrese got it easily. The disrespect to Tyrese is insane. I’m listening to Tyrese over Tank any day,” another user added.
“I’m so excited I can’t wait to see this, it’s going to be tough, I think Tyrese got this,” a third user chimed in.

R&B Legends Sound Off About Upcoming Battle
After the announcement was made, Tyrese went live on social media. He gave fans some insight into what to expect from him during the upcoming battle. And it sounds like he will be keeping his day one fans in mind.
“I’m about to give the real Tyrese fans and supporters some B-Side classics that they always ask me to sing,” he said as heard through Okay Player. “Poison [ you always want me to do this song live.😥 BEAUTIFUL PAIN Album is about to finally be on the main stage…. What other songs should I do from the BP album???? I am really, really about to do this for you, the real ones….. Should I finally do WILDFLOWER?”
Tank also dropped in his two cents. And he vowed to put Tyrese “in the dirt.”
