With this being the rapper’s first performance since the shooting, fans went crazy with reactions on social media.
“Mf was on stage in a wheelchair? ” While owing money to half the music business?” one person asked on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“He could’ve really just stayed home,” a second user chimed in.
“That’s commitment. Man turned recovery into a performance entrance,” a third user added.
Offset was involved in an altercation with rapper Lil Tjay. Police say they have video footage of Tjay directing a group of his associates to blitz Offset. They also say that during the melee, one of the members of Lil Tjay’s crew pulled out a gun and shot Offset, leaving him hospitalized.
In a post shared by Kurrco on X, Offset expressed gratitude for being home and recovering. And promised to “be better,” going forward.
“Thank you to everyone who’s checked in on me and shown me love! I’m good … but I’m planning to be better!” he said. “I’m focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music … realizing that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses. Life’s a gamble, and I’m still playing to win.”
