Young Thug Suggests Rich Homie Quan Was Going to Testify
In a social media post in response to Quan’s brother, Rich Homie Dre, Young Thug insinuates that the rapper was going to testify against him in the YSL trial.
“Tell ’em he was about to take the stand on me a week before he died [since] it’s a lie. I still love ’em and wish he were here, though. I know I wouldn’t have walked past him sleeping on the floor,” Young Thug wrote in a social media post on Friday.

Earlier this week, the YSL founder posted a clip of him and the late photo performing on stage. And questioned where things went wrong because he never “switched” on Quan.
However, Quan’s brother, Rich Homie Dre, appeared to hit back at Thugger in a social media post on Wednesday (May 6), stating that the rappers’ “pride and ego” were the reason that the two of them fell out before his untimely passing.
Rich Homie Quan died from an accidental drug overdose after taking multiple drugs, including fentanyl, alprazolam, codeine, and promethazine in September 2024.
Now that the rapper is no longer here, Rich Homie Dre says that he just wants others to let his brother rest in peace.
“Quan knew he was gonna get all the love when he was gone… everything he spoke about really happened. My boy was tired & drained, and he’s now at peace. Please let him rest,” he said in a post caught by The Shade Room. “Hurts me to know that this is all occurring now. But that’s the way life is. You can’t change or control humans. You can only do the work within yourself. People will always kick you while you are down or simply just watch you, they will never grab your hand and pull you up! But when you GET UP, everyone wants to be ALL for you! Choose wisely the company you keep!”
