BigXThaPlug has quickly become one of the more popular artists in the music industry. And rap star Rick Ross is starting to take notice.
Rick Ross Gives Major Salute to BigXThaPlug
Ross is preparing to drop his 12th studio album, Set in Stone. And as he begins the promo run on his upcoming project, the rap star sat down with Complex’s Jordan Rose. Rose asked Ross what features fans can expect on the project. He said that BigXThaPlug is one of the artists who will be on the upcoming project. And confirmed that he is featured on the first single from Set in Stone, which drops this Friday (May 15).
“This Friday, I’m releasing another single. Another record, ‘Livin’ Large,’ BigXThaPlug on it,” he said to Rose.
He also gave BigXThaPlug a major salute. And said that he sees a younger version of himself in the rising star.
Shout out to BigXThaPlug, 600. His whole movement,” he added. “I love how he’s movin’ just as a young hustler. I see a Yung Rozay in him.”
Set In Stone is set to drop on Friday, May 12.
BigXthaPlug has gained notoriety from his raw emotion and detailed storytelling through music. Songs like “Texas” and “The Biggest” Have helped him skyrocket to superstardom.
When speaking with the New York Times, the rap star attributed his talent for raw storytelling to his upbringing.
“That’s where I come from — riding around with my mama, and we’re listening to UGK, who’s talking straight storytelling, solid storytelling,” he said. “I believe in substance and there actually being something in the music. And so I feel like that’s what I tried to bring back.”
