Drake finally confirmed that he, in fact, does have beef with Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James on his ninth studio album, Iceman. And while Drake has received a lot of backlash over his issues with LeBron, rap artist Cam’ron says he understands why.
Cam’ron Sides With Drake in LeBron Beef
Drake appeared to take issue with LeBron’s attendance at Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out Concert in June 2024 amid their bitter rap feud.
During a recent episode of his podcast, Talk With Flee, Cam says that he totally understands why he would feud with James for that reason. Stating that the NBA star and Drake had an actual friendship, before he and Kendrick’s beef.
“I think Drake and LeBron had a friendship. Before [the Kendrick Lamar beef]. I just think that Drake felt like ‘oh you were my n***a. When you get to Toronto and all that, you come to the crib.’ That’s what it seems like. I don’t know if it’s a fact,” Cam said in a clip caught by ZadCozzy on X. “If we were just one of them n***s and every time we see each other we just say wassup, cool. If you’re coming to my crib and we speak to each other, and we talk, text, then I would probably feel a way.”

However, even though Drake and LeBron may currently be at odds, the NBA star’s longtime business partner, Rich Paul, isn’t shutting the door on a future reconciliation.
“At the end of the day, I think it’s important that adults really reconcile down the road. And stay out of that stuff…. I don’t get involved in that, but for me it’s just about allowing time to pass. Hopefully, they can reconcile their differences,” he said as caught by NBA Courtside on X. “I do think in any situation it’s important to remove the middle man. I think over time you need the two people to have a conversation if they’re able to get there.”
