Killer Mike is back in the studio. The Atlanta rapper jumped on his social media to inform fans that new music is coming soon.
What Did Killer Mike Say?
On Monday morning (June 16th), Killer Mike woke up bright and early ready to give fans updates on what’s been going on with him.
An account on X called Spacecowboyhash posted a three year anniversary celebration for Killer Mike’s Grammy-winning solo album Michael. Mike caught wind of the post and responded accordingly.
“Thank U. Working on M2 as we tweet,” Killer Mike posted.
Naturally, fans flooded the comments with one question: where is Run The Jewels 5?
Mike didn’t shy away, responding promptly.
“Whenever My Guy Hits me and Says He got the tracks and he ready umma fly to Amsterdam and we gonna Kill S***!,” Killer Mike posted.
It’s been over six years since Run The Jewels dropped their fourth installment, coming in the seminal pandemic year of 2020. Since then, their politically-charged bars have been given new material with events such as Donald Trump’s second presidential term and New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani winning as a socialist-leaning candidate.
When pressed about the long wait for the music, Mike responded a second time with a more definitive answer.
“Gonna be worth the wait I promise. Honest. We were smoking and I was telling him about an amazing RTJ concept just yesterday,” Killer Mike posted.

Did Killer Mike Tease Anything Else?
While Mike kept information sparse, he did allude to producer Mike WiLL Made-It helping produce Michael 2.
“Word to me and Mike Will we bringing it!
Killer Mike hasn’t dropped music since his Gospel Rap album, Songs for Sinners & Saints. The album saw Mike switch genres up, joined by his gospel choir The Mighty Midnight Revival.
The album became synonymous with Mike’s infamous Grammy arrest when he released the track “Humble Me,” detailing the circumstances.
