Kanye Downplays Kendrick’s New Verses

Most fans were happy to hear Lamar on Good Credit and Back Door, but not everyone was. Kanye West weighed in on Kendrick’s features on Carti’s album. And let’s just say that the Yeezy creator was not feeling it at all.

“I DON’T LIKE KENDRICK LAMAR’S MUSIC. HE RAPS VERY GOOD. BUT I DIDNT NEED TO HEAR HIM ON CARTI ALBUM,” Ye wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

He did however pay homage to two other songs off the album “I See You Baby Boi” and Crank That. He posted screenshots of those songs to his Instagram story on March 14.

Kanye has seemed to be at the center of controversy lately. Following the release of Bhad Bhabie’s song Ms. Whitman he came under fire. The track takes aim at Alabama Barker. It also Samples Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s “Carnival” off their Vultures album that dropped in 2024. However, Kanye wanted to make it clear that even though he cleared the sample for Bhad Bhabie, he wants no part of her and Barker’s beef.

“I just got sent a song and asked if I could clear the sample. The only reason why I clear anything is because so many people try to stop me. They stop clearances, and everything has been very difficult for me,” Kanye said in a video posted to X, formerly known as Twitter.

“So I always—anybody asks me, I always clear it,” West said. “But I’m not cool with being put in the middle of all of this at all. So any verse going viral using my voice and all of that, it’s like, I didn’t do it.”
