Offset has had enough when it comes to people playing with his name. Especially when it comes to his impending divorce. To bring things up to speed, Offset’s estranged wife Cardi B filed for divorce in August 2024 after four years of marriage.
To say Offset and Cardi’s divorce has been ugly would be an understatement. According to a November 6 report from AllHipHop, Cardi tries to settle with Offset with a $10 million offer. However, the former Migos star reportedly declined the seven-figure settlement.
Offset Shuts Down Rumors He Rejected $10 Million Settlement
As the rumors have continued to churn, the former Migos member took to social media to officially clear his name.
“False rumors all of it,” he wrote in the comments section of a post from The Uncuttt referencing the report.
He also added: “Stop running a hate campaign, none of this is true, or the first shit that was about this was true.”
In the report, the rap star says that he “feels used” by his ex-wife.
He also noted that he and Cardi built her brand together. And now he wants a cut of what he and his soon-to-be ex-wife have built. The Offset believes that the settlement should be split down the middle as he is allegedly requesting “half.”
But even though Offset has alleged that the rumors about him turning down Cardi’s $10 million offer wouldn’t be too far off course from what Cardi has been saying. As she previously said, Offset is requesting that she pay his taxes and surrender one of their homes as part of the settlement.
It is also no secret that things got especially ugly between the pair after she took her new relationship with New England Patriots star Steffon Diggs public earlier this year. And now that Diggs and Cardi are expecting their first child together, the tension will likely grow.
It doesn’t appear that their divorce will be made official anytime soon.
