The hip-hop community was turned on its head earlier this year. When the body of a dead teenage girl was found in a Tesla belonging to music star D4VD.
Police Issue Key Update in Celeste Rivas, D4VD Investigation
The girl, named Celeste Rivas, was found in Los Angeles back in September. And up to this point, most people presumed that there was foul play involved. But according to the latest update from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, that is not necessarily the case.
As the police continue to comb through the available evidence, they say that it remains “unclear” if there is any “criminal culpability” related to her death. Adding that the only clear crime that has been committed is the fact that her body was concealed inside the vehicle.
“The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause or manner of Ms. Rivas Hernandez’s death. As such, it remains unclear whether there is any criminal culpability beyond the concealment of her body,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement via KTLA5. “RHD is thoroughly examining every aspect of this case. To uncover the truth and seek justice for Celeste Rivas Hernandez and her family.”
Despite Rivas’ body being found registered in a vehicle registered to D4VD, the singer has not been arrested. In fact, the police have not even officially named him a suspect in the case. But many social media users are still not convinced that D4VD had no involvement in Celeste Rivas’ death. Even after the latest police update.
“Still crazy how he or his team has yet to give a letter, not even a sentence, not even a word, not even a letter is crazy,” one person said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“He needs to be CONVICTED wtf are the police doing ???? We need to be spamming their county police department,” another user added.
To this point, the investigation into Rivas’ death is ongoing.
