The controversial Talib Kweli doesn’t understand why organizations don’t want him around. He took to social media to call out one of the most respected performance series in music today.
Why Is Talib Kweli Mad?
The Black Star rapper called out a certain NPR show for their lack of inclusion, namely, not having him honored.
“Someone needs to ask NPR and Tiny Desk what they have against my music,” Kweli posted.
This comes as NPR Tiny Desk is set for a Hip Hop centric performance series where they pay homage to BET for Black Music Month, in June.
Acts include: GENA with Liv.e and Kareem Riggins, Shaboozey, Joe, Eve – Fred Hammond, Bow Wow, and more.
Kweli started his rap career in a prolific way, with several classics as a part of Black Star with Mos Def. He then dropped the critically acclaimed, Quality. He also delivered one of the most iconic guest verses of the 00s on Kanye West’s “Get Em High.”
But, in recent years, while he’s made some music, he’s become known more for upsetting fans, harassing women online, and being a noted troll.
