Over the past couple of months, rap star Nicki Minaj has been vocal about her support for the Donald Trump Administration.
In November 2025, the Pinkprint creator spoke at the United Nations on behalf of the Trump administration. In addition, Minaj thanked Trump publicly for his stance on the persecution of Christians in Nigeria, a narrative the administration has prioritized.
Nicki Minaj Hits Back at Backlash Over Trump Support
Due to her support for the Trump administration, Minaj has faced considerable backlash. When she appeared at the Turning Point USA conference over the weekend with Charlie Kirk, Minaj brushed off the criticism.
“I didn’t notice,” Nicki responded, as caught by Kurrco on Twitter. “Bingo. We don’t even think about them. We’re the cool kids.
Minaj also suggested that the people who have criticized her are really “disgruntled” themselves. And as far as the backlash is concerned, Minaj said that her haters can “stay mad.”
“The other people, they’re the ones who are still just disgruntled. But really, they’re just disgruntled with themselves. They are angry with themselves, you guys,” she continued. “So you can’t wake up and think about somebody who is determined to just stay mad. I literally tell them, ‘Stay mad.’ ‘Cause we’re going to stay joyful and peaceful and iconic and smart. And we’re going to stay thinkers in a world that doesn’t want us to think. We will think. By ourselves, on our own. We will continue to think.”

However, fans on social media continued to clown the femcee.
“My bingo card is full of things I didn’t expect to occur this year,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“This is some weird shi Nicki lettin them use her is nasty work,” a second user added.
“Nicki Minaj uses ‘we’ as if she’s been a republican all her life, as if she knows what it means to be a republican, as if she’s one of them,” a third user chimed in.
Earlier this year, Minaj teased that her next studio album would drop in March 2026.
