It’s been a rough couple of years for Lil Durk and Drake. Drake has obviously been dealing with the fallout of his 2024 feud with rap star Kendrick Lamar. Seeing his one-time cohorts in the entertainment industry turn against him as a result. As for Durk, he is currently being held in prison without bond. After being arrested for murder-for-hire in 2024.

6ix9ine Says That Drake & Durk’s Downfall is Divine Intervention

During a recent sit-down with DJ Vlad on Vlad TV, rap star Tekashi 6ix9ine asserted that the downfall of Durk and Drizzy is a result of divine intervention. After Durk took shots at the Brooklyn native on Drake’s 2020 track Laugh Now, Cry Later.

“I could be wrong, but I’m gonna say it. God has shown me that he’s real. Someone I never in my life thought that the world would turn against him and f*****n’ clown him on a worldly level was Drake,” Tekashi said. “I thought Drake was the most loved, he’s Black, he’s Jewish. The best combination in the world. For real. I never thought—Drake could literally do no wrong.”

6ix9ine continues by referencing Kendrick Lamar’s performance of his Drake diss, Not Like Us. And how he made claims of the rap star being a “certified pedophile” in front of thousands of people at the Super Bowl. And found the irony in Durk being arrested, the same year that the industry began to turn against Drake.

“That same year, Durk gets arrested for murder-for-hire,” 6ix9ine continued. “The name of their song in 2020 when they dissed me was ‘Laugh Now Cry Later.'”

On the song, Durk appears to clown Tekashi over his cooperation as the state’s informant in the 2019 trial of the Treyway blood gang. And says that in light of his cooperation, he doesn’t want to hear any more of Tekashi’s music.

“I’m in the trenches, relax. Can you not play that lil’ boy in the club?

‘Cause we do not listen to rats,” he raps on the song.

At the time of writing, neither Durk nor Drizzy has responded to the rap star.
