The paperwork party between media personalities Charlamagne The God and DJ Akademiks continued on Thursday night. And this time it was Akademiks who was on the offense.
Akademiks Expresses Hurt Over Charlamagne Revelation
Akademiks has continued to make claims that Charlamagne is a paid mouthpiece for Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. And to strengthen his claim, Akademiks leaked paperwork. Showing that Charlamagne had a financial stake in Jay-Z’s bid to build a casino in New York City’s Times Square.
During a recent stream, Akademiks expressed his shock at finding out the information. And said that the move was something he would expect from somebody like streamer Tylil. And called it the “backdoor special.”
“My media GOAT tried to slime me out. This is crazy. He’s been working with my opps the whole time. And he told me he got no affiliation,” he says in the clip.
He also asks viewers if they think that Charlamagne wore a wire during their conversation.
Akademiks was HEARTBROKEN after finding out Lenard McKelvey was officially listed as a Promoter/Sponsor under Roc Nation (540 West 26th Street, Jay-Z’s corporate headquarters in Chelsea) in the Caesars Palace Times Square gaming application filed with New York State. 💔

Akademiks has been taking subtle shots at Charlamagne over the past couple of weeks. Over his alleged affiliation with Roc Nation. However, Charlamagne has responded to him by pointing out his hypocrisy. During a recent episode of his Brilliant Idiots podcast, Charlamagne noted how Akademiks is guilty of doing the same thing when it comes to his relationship with Drake.
“Let’s have the conversation. Because I don’t want to see any of y’all talking about people getting paid to support and defend folks,” Charlamagne said as caught by Complex. “Because the reality is, you have an OVO chain. So you’re supporting and defending Drake because you feel like Drake should be higher on this Billboard Top 50 songs thing. And by the way, I might agree with that.”
