Nicki Minaj is continuing to speak publicly about her support for President Donald Trump, explaining during a September 18 appearance on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle why she feels a personal connection with the president.
Speaking with host Laura Ingraham, Minaj said she considers Trump “grounded” and believes his personality makes it easy for people to feel heard and understood.
“He’s just himself,” Minaj said. “It’s easy to connect with him, it’s easy to feel like he heard you, he understands you, and I just love him.” She added that she does not intend to make excuses for her support.
Minaj also said she was “honored” to have the opportunity to work with the Trump administration. Her appearance came as she discussed her involvement as a celebrity judge for the Small Business Administration’s Million Dollar Pitch Competition, alongside SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler.
The comments mark another public instance of Minaj discussing her relationship with Trump and her willingness to stand behind her political position despite criticism.
