The rapper clarified his recent posts on X, formerly Twitter, concerning allegations that battle rappers have written rounds for other competitors. His remarks came amid a wider debate about ghostwriting and whether outside assistance undermines the competitive nature of battle rap. The discussion has also drawn commentary from Eazy The Block Captain and other personalities across the culture.
Beyond the writing controversy, Rome pushed back against what he described as efforts to discredit his work and portray him as an unknown artist.
His response brings two separate issues into focus: the questions surrounding authorship in battle rap and his objections to having his own musical contributions dismissed. The ghostwriting claims remain allegations.
