Famed rapper-turned-podcaster Joe Budden reignited his beef with Drake in a recent social media post.
Joe Budden Trolls Drake on Social Media
Budden posted an unflattering picture of the Canadian rap star to his Instagram story on Thursday (October 9), which seemed to be a slight reference to the verdict in his lawsuit against UMG. After a judge dismissed his case on Thursday.

However, Drake’s fans on social media didn’t find the humor in Budden pouring salt into the wound.
“He knows mentionin’ Drake the only thing keepin’ the lights on at that podcast,” one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Does Joe know that he looks like he’s 6 months pregnant? I’m sure someone will post a pic of Joe and his belly,” another user added.
“Now, when he shoots back, Joe is gonna act like a victim,” a third user said.
To bring things up to speed, Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s rap feud in 2024 was the catalyst for this lawsuit. Drake sued several different entities, including UMG, over the distribution of Kendrick Lamar’s 2024 hit, Not Like Us.
After the song remained atop the music charts for most of the year, Drake took legal action. The rap star brought several companies into the litigation and accused them of defamation. After he alleged that they conspired to execute a mass promotion of the song. Particularly the lyric where he is referred to as a “certified pedo**ile”
Joe Rips Drake For ‘Playing Both Sides’
Previously, Budden said he felt like Drake had a “right” to sue. But also expressed his disappointment with Drake for “playing both sides.”
“I’m saddened as a diss track king, as a ni**a who loves to get on the mic and tell lies about my opponent. Horrible things get said [in rap beefs], man. I just don’t like that Karen is [playing]-both sides, the aggressor and the victim,” he said.
“Y’all can have it. It ain’t my Hip-Hop. Maybe I aged out of this sh*t faster than I thought I would. But all this sh*t y’all doing… nah, not for me. I love [Hip-Hop] too much. Look…He’s well within his rights to [sue] so, yes. But no other artist would think about doing it because it’s the end of your career. In the same way, this is going to be the end of his career.”
